Birmingham Parks, Canals, Markets Open for July at 22C
Birmingham opens its parks, canals and markets for July outings as daytime highs reach 22C.
How we reported this

Birmingham parks recorded 48,000 visitors over the first weekend of July, according to city council footfall counters.
The increase coincides with the start of school summer holidays on 20 July and a stretch of settled weather forecast through the end of the month.
Park programmes and canal walks
Cannon Hill Park hosts its annual outdoor cinema series every Friday evening until 2 August, while Edgbaston Reservoir opens its new paddling zone for families on weekends. Both sites lie within a ten-minute bus ride of the city centre on the 45 and 8 routes.
Brindleyplace adds free kayaking taster sessions on Saturdays, run by the Canal and River Trust, with sessions limited to 30 people and starting at 10am.
Numbers and costs
Adult tickets for the Cannon Hill cinema cost £12 and child places are £7, with advance booking required through the park website. Reservoir entry remains free, though parking charges rise to £2.50 for two hours after 10am on event days.
Visitors should arrive before 11am for the best parking at both locations and check the council website for any last-minute weather adjustments.
